Whiteface Elopement in the Adirondack Mountains | Lake Placid, New York Micro-Wedding

Emily and Martin planned a beautiful mix between an elopement and a micro-wedding for their August celebration in the Adirondack Mountains. This is something that I highly recommend to couples who want the elopement experience, but also want to experience the joy of celebrating with their loved ones and closest friends!

After a morning of getting ready in their private cabin at The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn, Emily and Martin made their way to the top of Whiteface Mountain (via toll road) for a first look moment and their private vows up in the clouds.

This is truly one of the most magical locations for dramatic elopement day views in the greater Lake Placid area, especially since it requires little to no trekking!

After their mountaintop adventure, they set up a small lunch picnic to relax and enjoy before a mid-day break. (Split coverage is perfect for this scenario!)

After a few hour break, the late afternoon kicked off with their short and sweet ceremony right on the grounds of the inn. Would you believe that at the very moment of their first kiss, the clouds let loose into a rain storm?! What a send off!

This didn’t deter them from adventuring out onto nearby Lake Placid for a quick boat ride excursion post-ceremony - complete with celebratory beverages and gorgeous mountain views in the distance. Bonus: they had the lake entirely to themselves!

After returning from their boat ride, these two rejoined their family and friends at the main inn building for an intimate dinner reception with gorgeous candlelit vibes. Take a peek into their day…
